NPP leadership sets date for parliamentary, presidential primaries today

The leadership of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) will today meet to take a final decision on the political party’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections today June 3, 2020

The NPP originally scheduled for their Primaries to be held in the various constituencies where the Political party has sitting Members of Parliament on April 25 but had to be postponed due to the novel coronavirus.

However, the political party is set to name a new-date-for its presidential-parliamentary-primaries as the National Council will be meeting today to discuss the various modalities involved in the election of candidates for the various constituencies and an endorsement for the President as the Party’s flagbearer.

The NPP is one of the political parties that was affected by the President’s directives on placing a ban on political activities and easing the various restrictions has come as a relief to the Political party because it will now have the opportunity to see through their calendar for the political season.

The party will be voting to select 169 candidates to represent the political party at the various constituencies in Ghana.
