An upcoming female songstress, Minab Miriam aka Minab who is based in Cape Coast has revealed that she doesn’t see anything wrong with a female artiste having a consensual sexual relationship with her manager.
Minab who was making a submission on the issue of female artiste and manager relationship, said that it is rather wrong to date a sound engineer you are working with because it would not auger well to ensure that you are corrected when you are not doing the right thing in the studio.
She made these comments when she was asked if she’s dating her manager during an exclusive interview with Cape Coast’s finest radio personality, Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central monitored by MyNewsGh.com
She answered “I have been hearing some of those issues. They say I’m dating my manager and some also say I’m dating my sound engineer. As for me sometimes when I hear it I become a bit afraid. Because my sound engineer is like a father to me.
“When I go to his studio I don’t have any affair with him that’s why he’s able to tell me pointblank if I’m doing something right or wrong. So imagine if I was dating my sound engineer, would he be bold enough to correct me if I’m not doing things right?
“People shouldn’t always conclude that I’m dating my sound engineer. A senior police officer can date a female police officer so why can’t a female artiste date her manager. There is a difference between a manager and producer, I can’t date my producer but as for dating my manager I see nothing wrong about it.
“I don’t know what happened between eShun and her manager but I think her exposé will affect the upcoming female artistes. Some people will be afraid to invest in a female artiste because they might think similar thing will happen to them if they sponsor a female artiste to blow she might end up being ungrateful”.
Minab who is a second year student of Edinaman Senior High school is currently promoting her song titled ‘testimony’ which is to thank God for blessing her with an amazing talent.
