Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah has thrown his weight behind broadcaster Nana Romeo for sacking musician, Kidi for reporting late for an interview.
Nana Romeo of Accra FM called off an interview because Kidi who was expected to be in the studio before 11:00 am showed up at 11:30.
The move by the radio personality divided the country as some people thought that was the right thing to do whiles others thought it wasn’t right considering his status in society.
But reacting to the story on Accra-based Joy FM, Shatta Wale said it was right for Nana Romeo to have called off the interview because lateness should not be condoned.
“What he did to Kidi was perfectly right. If it is time he’s talking about unless may be he spoke about any other thing that I will say he wasn’t right. Like saying Kidi doesn’t respect that’s why he did that but he spoke about time and those are vital things that most Ghanaians don’t know about. People get rich and they wonder how people got rich. They used time to get rich, time makes people get money so him on that side I totally support.”
He, however, condemned what Nana Romeo did to Wendy Shay saying”I was like he needs to invite me to his studio because the kind of questions he’s asking not elite like the questions you are asking me so If he wants to ask me questions, me i like nonsense questions so that we will see if he can finish the programme”.
