Moses Antwi Benefo, who is the Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, says the club will write to the government of Ghana to allow them to admit fans into the stadium in their clash against Nouadhibou on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors will host the Mauritanian champions in the reverse fixture of the 2020/21 CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The Kumasi-based side held Nouadhibou to a one-one draw in Mauritania on Sunday in the first leg.

Benefo states the club will be willing to admit half of the stadium capacity for the game as the Mauritanian government has granted Nouadhibou to do so in the first game.

“Asante Kotoko will write to Ghana Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports to allow us to admit fans at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2nd Leg match against FC Nouadhibou which is on Sunday,” he told Oyerepa FM.

“We will be happy should they allow half of the stadium(20,000).

“In Mauritania, they showed us clearance from CAF because their government allowed them so we will also write to ask for that opportunity.”
