Chelsea: Sarri Regrets, More Pressure on Haaland Transfer, Target Flattered by Transfer Rumors

Former France and Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has urged Chelsea’s director Marina Granovskaia to pull all the strings possible in order to sign 19-year-old sensation Erling Braut Haaland in the summer transfer. He said that Chelsea’s run in defending the Champions League title next season solely depends on whether Haaland is signed or not.

Bayer Leverkusen left-back Emmanuel Topsoba earlier on said that he is delighted to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but at the moment all his focus on his current club. He said this after he was asked by a journalist how he felt about being linked to a big club such as Chelsea.

Topsoba was shortlisted by Chelsea scouts as Emerson Palmeira’s replacement for next season. Topsoba nonetheless clarified that no significant developments were made in the deal and that it was rumors fueled by journalists. He however said that his agent informed him of Chelsea’s interest.

Former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has left tongues wagging after he openly admitted that he made a costly mistake to his career after he left Chelsea for Juventus in 2019. He said that Marina Granovskaia tried to persuade him to say at Stamford Bridge but he was too stubborn to listen and now he ruefully regrets his decision.
