Gone were the days when Kumawood movies were making waves and almost everywhere on our screens today but the narrative has changed over time and at the moment movie producers are no more producing which has left the movie industry almost on the verge of collapsing. There are so many factors which has contributed to the collapse of the movie industry, some of the film makers are accusing some television stations for airing foreign telenovelas attributing it to the collapse of the movie industry but among the consumers they rather blame the film makers for producing poor and and one way story line. Other people in the movie industry also think it’s as a result of the change in distribution sales from CDs to digital platform that’s what has affected the industry.
But amidst the crisis in the industry there are some few actors who are now producing some series for television, the likes of Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, Mercy Asiedu, Matilda Asare, Salinko, and others. Matilda Asare has two series running on tv now and at the moment she is on set shooting another television.
