Every four (4) years, Ghana, a poor country by all standards come to the same place, where a committee recommends huge benefits for people in power and this year, may have been worse, as Prof. Yaa Ntiamoa Baidu, Chairperson of the Committee on Emoluments submitted its work and it has since been approved.

Their work, recommended among others, buying cars for members of the Council of State (For instance, the Chief Justice who has received cars from Ghana, must now be bought another, among the likes of E.T Mensah, etc also), payment of wives of President and Vice (interestingly, this has been sued by both NDC and NPP persons, as their report recommended backdated payments up to 2017) and loans to buy cars for MP’s, etc.

This is all going to be implemented, in a country, where we all have to even pay new special taxes, for the monies, government spent during the early Covid-19 days, aside the clear worsening standards of living, that has been the main reason, behind the calls of #FixTheCountry campaign, which is saddened by the high levels of poverty, unemployment, etc.

Well, just as many are totally not in support of the work of the committee that she chaired, many are eager to know more about her also and I have all you need to know too.
