Ebusua Dwarfs have been relegated from the Ghana Premier League after the final round of matches on Sunday.

Dwarfs defeated Bechem United at the Cape Coast Stadium 2-1 on Sunday afternoon but failed to survive in the league following Elmina Shark’s 1-0 win over Kotoko in Obuasi.

Seidu Abubakar shot the Crabs into the lead against Bechem in the 20th-minute before Richard Amoah added the second nine minutes later to win the maximum points before Abdul Karim scored the consolation in the 86th-minute for Bechem – but it wasn’t enough to save one of the oldest clubs in Ghana.

Dwarfs accumulated 41 points from 34 points and will now consign to Division One after King Faisal had better head-to-head over them.
