But with the continuous drop in form and Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Man City, analyst believe that it’s only a matter of time before he gets sacked.
Though a lot of top managers are being linked with the job, one name that has continued to be mentioned as Solskjaer’s possible replacement is Zinedine Zidane.
Having won the Champions League title three times in a row during his time at Real Madrid, there’s no doubt Zidane would perform wonders with this Man United squad.
So what then is the issue?
Well, according to a report by AS, Zidane isn’t interested in the job as he’s currently waiting to take over the affairs of France from Deschamps.
The only thing that could convince Zidane to return to club management is if he’s presented with a winning project and not a team that’s going through a tough time like Man United.
No matter how hard they try, the report claimed that it might be impossible to get Zidane to accept the Man United job.
