In the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off, Emmanuel Adebayor predicts a difficult encounter between Ghana’s Black Stars and Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The two countries were paired against each other on Saturday, with the victor of the two-legged encounter qualifying for this year’s global football event in Qatar.

The games in March are vital for Nigeria and Ghana because of their strong rivalry, according to Adebayor, who attended the draw in Douala with Senegalese superstar El Hadji Diouf.

Ghana and Nigeria have both been eliminated from Cameroon’s 33rd Africa Cup of Nations event. Nigeria’s voyage to Cameroon was more successful than Ghana’s, as Nigeria won all of their group games while Ghana failed to win any.

“I wish them all the luck. I just want to remind them one thing that they are going out there to represent the continent,” he indicated.

“All the games will be difficult. I see Nigeria against Ghana too, it is not a derby but it is going to be very difficult because there are a lot of Ghanaians in Nigeria and Nigerians in Ghana,” he concluded.
