Readers can recall how Ningo Prampram lawmaker Samuel Nartey George has said he is open to intellectual debate on the anti-LGBT+ Bill. He mentioned on TV3 that he, Honourable Damfeamekpor and some of his colleague lawmakers are sponsoring the bill.

Readers can also reminisce how Sam George said emotional outbursts have no place in legislation.

Sam George has always said that he is willing to debate any body who has intellectual criticisms or suggestions.

Many celebrities have criticised Sam George but he has remained focused towards the passage of the bill. For example, Ghanaian musician Sister Derby who is also a known advocate of LGBT+ rights in Ghana even tagged him as a pervert and backward thinker.”

On 8th June ,2022 , Honourable Sam George spoke to News at 10 and he complained that a member of the Majority is delaying the process for the passage of his bill.

He further explained that the minority will delay the business of the majority if the LGBTI bill does not receive the requisite attention that it deserves.

When the TV3 Journalist asked him if he has exhausted all the internal parliamentary procedures, Sam George’s response was technical. He replied that the issue would not have reached the media if all the internal processes were not exhausted .
