The fastest rising new Ghanaian artiste, Mohammed Ishmail Sherif, widely known as Black Sherif has finally opened up on numerous complaints that he advertised the MTN mobile brand on Vodafone Ghana Awards stage.

It would be vividly recalled that Black Sherif during his thrilling performance on the stage of the Vodafone Ghana Awards this year stormed the stage with an MTN-branded tricycle, also known as “Pragya”.

Although the singer delivered an intimating performance on the show, numerous complaints were expressed by some of his fans and audience at the show about his decision to advertise another telecommunication company at another company’s expense.

Speaking in an interview on the “Atuu” segment with the ace broadcaster, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, Black Sherif revealed that he was given the MTN-branded “Pragya” by the organizers of the VGMA.

According to the musician, he never drove the “Pragya” from his house to the event center but, he was given the ride by the organizers of the show, hence he shouldn’t be blamed for that.

In other news, ace Ghanaian media personality, Kafui Dey has taken to his social media to heap praises on the veteran Ghanaian Highlife maestro, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba or D.L.

In a tweet, Kafui Dey believes that there is no one in the Highlife fraternity who sings better than the highlife legend. Also, he is of the strong belief that the legend is the best songwriter in the game.

Well, if not the best, Daddy Lumba happens to be one of the main pioneers of the Ghana music industry. He dominated the scene some years ago as one of Ghana’s finest singers in the scene and still reigns as one of the best veterans in the game.

His level of impact in the music industry is beyond compare and many who have emerged into the scene in recent times have derived so much inspiration from his musical journey. Even though he is no longer thriving in the scene as he used to, songs of Daddy Lumba still remain relevant and are still being played at various functions.
