The IMF have completed a first phase of interrogation and a quick look at the situation in Ghana for a one week period in Accra. During this visit, the IMF decided to scrutinize and determine which factors caused the inflation and issues in the country.

According to the them, one of the major cause of the borrowing and debts which has hit the country is a factor in most economies in the world as well.

People have blamed government for being directly involved and should be blamed for the hardships and debts. Here is the case where government is blaming all of this on the covid-19 pandemic which swept most economies off their feet.

The IMF claim the debt in Ghana has worsened and this has the covid-19 to play a part in it. This is a statement which in some cases exonerates the Npp who have blamed all or most of these hardships on the pandemic. However, Ghanaians are not so convinced
