Today marks a sad in the affairs of the late Junior Agogo. The family members may be taking a stock of what the future could have been if their son was alive. Former Black Stars striker Junior Agogo passed away three years ago today. On 22nd August, 2019, Junior Agogo kicked the bucket in London.

Between 2006 and 2009, Junior Agogo scored 12 goals in 27 matches for the Black Stars of Ghana. The striker was given little chance of blossoming, when he was handed an invite to play for Ghana.

Junior Agogo emerged the favorite when Ghana hosted the entire Africa for 2008 African Cup of Nations. The usual mantra of host and win was on the lips of every Ghanaian.

Huge expectations had engulfed then Black Stars head coach Claude Le Roy and his lads, and that was as a result of the talent available for Black Stars.

Junior Agogo rose to the occasion to save Black Stars multiple times with his scoring prowess. The manner in which he calmly slots ball home beat fans imagination.

On top of his scoring prowess was his physical looks. His charming looks courted attention for him but he did not allow that to sway his ambitions. Junior Agogo served Ghana with the little chance he got.
