Accra Hearts of Oak could not reach agreement with Sulley Ali Muntari as at the end of the transfer window in Ghana. Director of Communication for Accra Hearts of Oak Opare Addo, explained that the two parties were on the negotiation table but could agree to a deal as at the closure of the transfer window.

How did Accra Hearts of Oak and Sulley Ali Muntari get here? Sulley Ali Muntari, UEFA Champions League winner, joined the Phobians for a short stint. Before penning a deal with the rainbow club, news had gone viral about a possible working relationship following series of training sessions with Accra Hearts of Oak.

He eventually reached an official agreement with the Accra-based club, going on to win FA Cup with them. In an interview with GTV Sports+, the former Inter Milan midfielder revealed that he will extend his stay with Accra Hearts of Oak, but that announcement turned another direction as Sulley Ali Muntari began to hold talks with reigning champions Asante Kotoko.

After days of negotiations, Sulley Ali Muntari and Asante Kotoko could not reach a consensus, prompting him to return to previous employers, Accra Hearts of Oak. That appeared to have been too late for the World Cup participant. Registration shuts and Sulley Ali Muntari is no where to be found on the list of players registered by Accra Hearts of Oak.
