2 Former Arsenal Footballers That Have Scored A Hat Trick Against Chelsea In Stamford Bridge

It takes a great football player to be able to score three scores in one football match. This has always been a tough issue on the part of football in the world. Many have been able to achieve a lot of hat trick records in their career. Some scored the hat trick as a result of the type of team that they played with.

Sometimes in football, it is very difficult for any player to score a hat trick while battling in a football match with a top club. When it comes to the other clubs, some are able to score more than three goals in a match.

Most interestingly, footballers are able to score hat tricks in their home football pitch than most of the away matches that they play.

In this article, I bring to you about two former Arsenal players who have achieved hat trick in the home football pitch of the English premier league club Chelsea.

1. Nwankwo Kanu

Nwankwo Kanu is a Nigerian former professional footballer who once played as a forward for the Arsenal football club and the Nigeria national team. He was born on August 1, 1976 in Owerri, Nigeria.

In the year 1999, Arsenal football club battled with Chelsea football club in Stamford Bridge. Nwankwo Kanu scored three goals in that match, becoming the first ever footballer to have scored a hat trick against Chelsea in Stamford Bridge on 23rd October, 1999. Kanu netted in the 75th, 83th and 90th minutes of the time duration.

2. Robin Van Persie

Robin Van Persie is a Dutch football coach and a former professional footballer who played as a striker for many England premier league clubs Arsenal. He was born on August 6, 1983.

On October 29, 2011, Arsenal football club played a football game against Chelsea football club in Stamford Bridge. Robin Van Persie was able to write his name on the score board three times, becoming the second football player to have scored a hat trick in London Stamford Bridge.
