Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown known well as Akuapem Poloo has questioned the organizers of the Global Citizens festival about why they didn’t invite dancehall artist Shatta Wale and others.
The Global Citizens Festival 2022 took place in Black Star Square Accra, Ghana, and on Great Lawn in Central Park in New York City, USA, on 24 September. The event saw a lot of artists which included Ghanaian artists, Nigerian artists, and American artist Usher Raymond.
In a video sighted on Instagram, Akuapem Poloo has questioned the organizers of the Global Citizens Festival and why they did not have Shatta Wale, Wendy Shay, Becca, Medikal, Adina, and others on their bill.
Akuapem Poloo is of the opinion that the show that took place last weekend did not tread internationally because the organizers of the show refused to invite some key artists for the show.
Akuapem Poloo described Shatta Wale and others who were not invited to the event as vibrant, loveable, entertainers and people’s lovers of the show. She added that because the organizers refused to invite these artists hence the show did not go viral as it should.
