A journalist and a former Manager at Airtel Ghana Raymond Ablorh has remarked that, Ghanaians made no mistake voting Akufo-Addo and Bawumia to power because things were bad and John Mahama had dropped the ball at the time. He is of the view that as it stands now, Akufo-Addo and his government has betrayed the trust of Ghanaians and are doing worse than John Mahama did.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, 5th October 2022, he wrote;

“Akufo-Addo and Bawumia looked very ready to lead the nation more competently. The actual mistake Ghanaians made and some are still making is that after voting for them, they sat unconcerned about their failures and kept quiet while they did worse of what we condemned Mahama and his administration for.”

Raymond added that naturally, Akufo-Addo felt he’s doing well even when he’s failing and deviating from the path he pointed to Ghanaians in opposition. Long before Covid and Russia/Ukraine war came, we were already seeing debt escalation, Cedi depreciation and rising inflation.

Hardships had grown to a point that Prophet Owusu Bempah believed some wicked demons had been hired by John Mahama to inflict hardships on the people to defame Akufo-Addo. He lamented.

He added that at the time Akufo-Addo made those remarks the Covid and Russia/Ukraine war weren’t here. We all saw the reckless borrowing but unlike we did in Mahama’s time, under Akufo-Addo, borrowing became a measure of how confident investors were in our economy and leadership.

We saw worse corruption and plundering under the leadership of the man who promised to protect the public purse, right from the infancy of his administration.

All of a sudden, the narrative changed and Ghanaians became responsible for everything and the President became responsible for nothing. Those of us who went against the tide to hold Akufo-Addo and his very corrupt and highly incompetent appointees accountable rather became odd citizens; haters to even people who should know better. Raymond remarked

At this stage, the President and his men are totally  confused. They’ve lost their sense of direction if they had one at all. The nation is on auto pilot and nobody knows exactly where we’re heading from where we’re. They’ve opened their hands in despair waiting on the very God they don’t respect to save us. He concluded.
