“Hearts of Oak Stars Can Perform if Given The World Cup Chance” – Matic

Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Slavko Matic is confident the club duo, Dennis Korsah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will prove a point when given the World Cup opportunity.

The two players have been included in Otto Addo’s 55-man provisional squad for the global football tournament in Qatar.

The squad will be cut down to 26 members and Matic believes the players will be ready for the tournament.

“The World Cup they will prove, they will be ready.

“This is the decision of the head coach and I wish them a lot of happiness and good luck for all nation at the World Cup.” Slavko Matic told StarTimes.

The Black Stars are paired in group H alongside Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea.

Ghana who are making their fourth appearance, will open their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign against Portugal before clashes against Uruguay and South Korea.

The 21 time African champions have appeared at the 2006,2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Germany, South and Brazil respectively.
