we Former Youth and Sports Minister, Honourable Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, in an exclusive chat on Gold Talk Sports, made known why players were seen kissing dollars during the World Cup in Brazil 2014.

Hon. Afriyie-Ankrah, believes if best measures had been applied earlier to settle qualification money issues, it would not have aggravated to that level.

“That dichotomy which wasn’t resolved until we got to Brazil, that created all the problems and I was caught in the middle”.

“Because I was part of the cabinet decision and cabinet took a decision to give them $75,000”.

“And the FA added $17,000 but they insisted on the $100,000”.

“Subsequently, they now said.

Because there’s been so much confusion, we don’t want any remittance through the bank.

We want to see physical cash”.

Defender, John Boye, was spotted kissing dollars as Ghana painfully exited the World Cup at the group stage for their first time.
