The Black Stars of Ghana have put up a splendid performance against Portugal in the opening game of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars have held the Portuguese to a goalless draw at the 974 international stadium in Qatar for the month long tournament.

The Black Stars are making their fourth appearance at the World Cup having made their first appearance in the 2006 edition in Germany.

Their subsequent appearance was in South Africa 2010 and the 2014 edition held in Brazil where they exited at the group stage of the competition.

Below is the starting eleven to face the Portugal national team at the 974 international stadium in Qatar.

Lawrence Ati Zigi, Daniel Amartey, Alidu Seidu, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, Baba Rahman, Abdul Samed Salis, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Andre Ayew and Inaki Williams.

Ghana is paired in group H alongside Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea for the month long tournament.
