Controversial political activist Kwame A Plus has reacted to the judgement given by the Tema High court describing the judgement as ridiculous and shameful.
Recall that Chairman Wontumi sued comedian Afia Schwar, host of United Nana Ama McBrown, and her panelists; A Plus and Mr. Logic.
Afia Schwar was fined GHc60,000 and a 10-day jail term by the High Court. The host of Untied Nana Ama McBrown, panelists A Plus, and Mr. Logic has also been charged with contempt. The panelists during the discussion made certain comments on the case.
The contemnors have been charged to pay GHc5,000 to the applicant while Afia Schwar was fined 5,000 penalty units (GHc60,000).
Reacting to the judgement, A Plus has taken to his page to trash the judgement describing it as shameful and ridiculous.
He wrote, “Under Mahama, Hopeson Adoye paid 3000 for contempt. Sir John paid 10,000. Sammy Awuku paid 5000.
Under Akufo Addo and his useless government, there is so much inflation that we were convicted to a fine of 65.000.00 because 3000 can only buy dragon spray and viagra.
My right to freedom of expression is inalienable. If you can’t stand me just die. Such a ridiculous and shameful judgement!!!”.
