Ghana’s defender, Mohammed Salisu featured for English Premier league side Southampton in their Carabao Cup match win against Lincoln city.
The defender was part of the Black Stars Squad that was eliminated from the group stages of the just ended World Cup tournament in Qatar. Salisu was one of the players that impressed the most out of the Black Stars squad. The defender also scored a crucial goal for the Black Stars in the game against South Korea.
Just a few weeks after being eliminated from the World Cup, the defender is back with his club and started the match against Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup competition.
Southampton won the match by 2 goals to 1 and advanced to the next stage of the competition.
The English Premier league will return next week with boxing day matches and Ghana’s Salisu Mohammed is expected to be in the lineup for Southampton when they face Brighton.
