Highlife artiste, Kofi Kinaata has explained the sudden cancellation of his annual Made In Taadi Concert in the Western Region.

According to him, securing a venue for the event proved to be a challenge, thus, the decision to call off this year’s concert.Photo Credit: David Andoh

“I am equally broken-hearted, but as we stated, ther were reasons beyond our control. We used to hold it at Jubilee Park, but since Market Circle is being rebuilt, now the place is a temporary market.

“So in 2021, we held the concert at the TTU [Takoradi Technical University] Park and now they are undertaking some construction work on the field,” he explained.

Since the artiste and his management announced the cancellation of the 2022 Made In Taadi Concert, many fans have been disappointed.

In 2021, Kofi Kinaata was joined by Dope Nation, Pappy Kojo, Empress Gifty, MzVee, Sefa among others to bring Takoradi to a standstill.

Many revelers who were thrilled by the event looked forward to this years’ edition.

But the Westside musician remains optimistic.

“We’re praying that next year, the Market Circle will move back to their place and we’ll get the Jubilee Park or the construction ongoing at TTU will be done,” he said.
