Assistant head coach, of the Black Stars, Ibrahim Tanko, has debunked assertions that the team’s operations have been gravely affected by the upcoming investigative video on corruption put together by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The video titled Number 12 focuses on corruption in football in Ghana and the roles played by stakeholders in the Sports sector as well as Politicians.

The former Black Stars player believes the core issues at the heart of the investigative piece are more politically oriented than football related.

We are in camp now but with this thing that has come up, for now I will say it is a political matter.

We did not see anything involving football in it.

We have to wait and see what will happens.

For now we are preparing we will see what happens,” he indicated

In the build up to the viewing of the video President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi was arrested and questioned for close to five hours by the CID.

The arrest was ordered after privileged viewing of the investigative piece by President Akufo Addo, where FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi is caught on tape using the name of the President, his Vice and other top state officials to attempt to extort money from potential investors.

Meanwhile the Black Stars are set to conclude their international friendly run with a game against Iceland on June 7.
