Highlife artiste, Kumi Guitar has said that he has never said he is the King of Highlife anywhere but insist his fans bestowed that title on him.
The artiste ho was speaking on Accra-based Happy FM said he will never fight for Kingship but rather be an elder because Kings can be taken off their throne.
Kumi Guitar who is currently promoting his single “Temperature” said “I did not fight Paa Kwasi over kingship of Highlife and I never said that I am the king of Highlife. I mean if it comes to kingship I will rather choose to be the elder because they enstool and destool kings but on a more serious note, I didn’t say that”.
He indicated that “People started pushing that on me after my Dream song, which featured legendary Highlife artistes. My fans started calling me king of Highlife.”
