The only Ghanaian that was nominated for this year’s BET Awards event held in Los Angeles ended losing out on the award. Ghanaian were overjoyed with Kwesi Arthur’s nomination and a massive campaign was forged on to bring in more votes for the ‘Grind Day’ hitmaker. It will surprise you to know the 2nd Lady, Mrs. Samira Bawumia all rooted for Kwesi Arthur to win the award.
The event came off yesterday at the Microsoft Theater and apparently the Viewers Choice Best African Artiste was handed to Sjava of South Africa. Highly inspired to have achieved such a feat, Kwesi Arthur has responded to his critics on social media. He wrote, “How can I lose when I came from nothing.”
