Jackson K Bentum has said the fact that her daughter Yaa Jackson puts on revealing and questionable dresses, does not mean she is a sex worker or has put her body up for sale.

According to the Ghanaian film director, her daughter dresses just for the cameras which has nothing to do with her morals, values or overall personality.

Addressing the issue of her daughter’s dress style in an exclusive interview, Jackson K Bentum said Ghanaians should stop making a fuss about her daughter’s lifestyle because it is all showbiz.

He maintained that since her daughter is a celebrity, she needed to dress like one…which has nothing to do with the rumour that she is a prostitute as many speculate.

“That does not imply that she is a prostitute.” She is following the conventions of show business. Her manager would make her wear those things because she was a musician. So it’s a job. Those who don’t understand would say anything.

“I am not the one in charge of her. She only does what her boss tells her to do. I also know that is not how my child behaves at home. She’s just going about her business.”

Jackson K Bentum has received a barrage of criticism for failing on his part as a parent to whip her daughter in line and to check her lifestyle. When photos and videos of Yaa Jackson revealing her body hit the internet, many concerns were raised about the effectiveness of the role her parents do supposedly play in order to keep her in check.

However, her father has watered down the criticism with the explanation that her daughter’s dressing style has no negative impact on her overall character.

On the other hand., Yaa Jackson’s brother had intimated that her sister has swayed from the moral upbringing they were giving. According to him, Yaa Jackson’s current lifestyle choice is influenced by her decision to sell her soul out.
