Ampem Darkoa Ladies will look to upset Bayelsa Queens in the finals of the WAFU ZONE B finals in Yamoussoukro this weekend.

The Ghanaian champions wove their way into the finals after beating Africa Sport D’Abidjan 6-5 on penalty shootouts in the semi finals.

Technical Director of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Ebenezer Omari Denkyira talks about the Ladies’ chances.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies made it through to finals after an opening day victory against USFA of Burkina Faso- beating them 3-0.

The second game was however a difficult one as they were held by Bayelsa Queens – the Nigeria champions to a goalless draw.

The third game was quite an easy one after beating Athleta of Togo by 1-0 to qualify for the semi finals.

They were held by Africa Sport D’Abidja to a 1-1 in the entire duration before going past them by 6-5 penalty shootouts win.

They will now face Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria in the finals with the winner qualifying for the Africa Women’s championship to be staged in Morocco in October.
